Barton Fitzpatrick
Barton Fitzpatrick (born 1995 on the West Side of Chicago) is an American actor and recording artist who rose to prominence for his breakout role as street captain Reginald “Reg” Taylor on Showtime’s critically acclaimed series The Chi.
His television credits include recurring appearances on Dick Wolf’s Chicago franchise (Chicago P.D., Chicago Justice, Chicago Med), Lee Daniels’ Empire, and 50 Cent’s Power Book IV: Force—where his character was created specifically for him by the showrunner of Season 1.
After a four-season hiatus, Fitzpatrick has returned to reprise his fan-favorite role as Reg Taylor in Season 7 of The Chi, further cementing his place as one of the show’s most iconic figures. Expanding his artistry beyond acting, Fitzpatrick has also launched a career in music, continuing to showcase his versatility as a dynamic performer.

She is best known for her powerful performance as Jordan Davis in the ALLBLK series "Wicked City," where she brings depth, intensity, and authenticity to her character. In addition to television, Smith has starred in a variety of films, showcasing her versatility as an actress. Her credits include "Push," My "Valentine Wedding," "Crescent Gang," "Driving Force," and "Safe Word," each of which highlights her ability to embody characters across genres ranging from heartfelt drama to thrilling suspense.

Jamal Hill
Jamal Hill is an accomplished film director, screenwriter, and producer known for his powerful storytelling and ability to bring authenticity to the screen.

Hill began his career in the film industry as an assistant director on the set of "The Sopranos" before transitioning to directing. His first feature film, "Money Power & Respect," received critical acclaim and set the stage for his future success. Hill is perhaps best known for his work on the movie "Brotherly Love".

Tressa Smallwood
Tressa Azarel Smallwood, founder and CEO of MegaMind Media, is an award-winning television and film producer; earning nominations in 2024 for the NAACP Image Awards’ for Outstanding Television Movie and the NAMIC Awards’ in 2023 for Best Original Picture.
Smallwood’s production company specializes in creating compelling original content for female audiences. In seven years, under her leadership, MegaMind Media has produced over 27 projects including the two-time NAACP Image Awards nominated feature for Outstanding Television Movie and Outstanding Directing In A Television Movie, First Lady Of BMF: The Tonesa Welch Story, Secrets, “Wicked City” (renewed for a third season), Holiday Heartbreak, Trophy Wife, The Sound of Christmas, Sinners Wanted, The Available Wife, Dear Best Friend, and the NAMIC Awards’ nominated film, A Rich Christmas. Smallwood is a member of the Producers Guild of America and the Television Academy.

His commitment to promoting Black entertainers has brought some of the nation’s finest comedians and musicians to the region, enriching Albany's cultural landscape.
In his dual roles, Kevin combines his expertise in media and communication to support and promote the arts, ensuring that every event resonates with the community. His innovative approach fosters inclusivity and celebrates diverse talent, making him a transformative force in Albany’s entertainment scene. Through his leadership, Kevin continues to elevate the arts and create meaningful experiences for audiences.

Patrick Harris Jr
President of Collectiveffort, the agency that led design & project management for this festival, Patrick began his film career as a child on Sesame Street. In 2020, he co-produced his first feature film "Lunamancer" which won best film at the Philip K. Dick Sci-Fi Film Fest (2021) & Midwest Weird Fest (2022).

Morgan Johnson
Morgan “Morganical” Johnson is a singer-songwriter, author, and creative visionary from Albany, New York. With Haitian American roots and a deep spiritual influence, she blends soulful storytelling with intentional lyrics that reflect her journey of love, healing, and empowerment.

Her debut EP "Post Love Playlist" is coming soon, showcasing her unique sound and ability to turn lived experiences into art. She also recently released her first book, "Confessions of a Tour Dancer," and continues to expand her artistry across music, literature, and film.

Alongside her creative work, Morgan is a project manager and the social media manager for the Renaissance Black Film Festival, where she uplifts Black filmmakers and stories. Fluent in both English and Spanish, and classically trained on violin and viola, she brings a rare blend of passion, creativity, and spiritual depth to everything she does.

Larenz Tate
Larenz Tate is an American actor and producer, best known for his versatile performances in film and television. Born on September 8, 1975, in Chicago, Illinois, he gained prominence in the 1990s with roles in critically acclaimed films such as "Menace II Society," "Dead Presidents," and "Love Jones." His charisma and talent led to a successful career in television as well, with notable roles in series like "Power" and "Southland."
Tate's work often explores complex characters and social themes, earning him a reputation as a compelling actor. In addition to acting, he has ventured into producing, showcasing his commitment to diverse storytelling in Hollywood.
